Window Cling: We have designed a window cling/decal that is recognized by the Pasco Sheriff's Office as an identifier that someone with a mental health condition lives at the residence that are responding to. We are hoping to bring this to Pinellas County soon and are working with law enforcement agencies in Pinellas to make this a universal symbol to help keep everyone safe. During the trainings that we participate in, many officers said it would be helpful if they knew who the call may involve so they could act accordingly. We asked many officers and people with a mental health condition who have had interaction with officers their opinion on this concept and design before we trademarked it. Everyone was in agreement that this was a great idea and could be life saving. This decal is not an obvious sign to the public, so that the person's privacy is maintained. However, it will help the officer in how they interact and respond during the call. The message that there may be a person in a mental health crisis involved is not always relayed to the officers by dispatch. This symbol will make a difference. You will receive the decal and instructions. We are also working on a smaller version for vehicles. The decal is a teal honeycomb with the dopamine symbol in the center of the decal.
